The problem with courts and laws is all they can do it punish or threaten to punish - intimidate.
When it comes to family law, the same can be said for police and all the agencies that rely on the police.
The law, as said over 200 years ago by the Authors of the American Constitution, is brutality.

If you don't want brutality in a family, then keep the law out of it. The idea seems so simple.
