A man was killed
Why he was killed is not completely clear. Another man has been arrested. But I can tell anyone the real reason: the attorney, probably not a bad man -- at least the papers say a great deal about what a good man he was and that he was a family man -- was killed because he ruined someone's family.
He probably did nothing illegal. He just did his job. His job was to do anything he could to win for his client. Whatever he had to do, or could think of, he did.
THE man accused of killing a lawyer who acted for him in family law matters for almost a decade has professed his love for his two daughters during a brief court appearance.
David Robinson, 56, was shot dead after an argument and a violent struggle in a laneway behind his Fairfield office. Police believe he may have been killed by a disgruntled client.
In this case, the man whose family he ruined shot the attorney twice in the chest. It made the news. How many other men who loved someone or had children did this attorney destroy? How many others did he drive to suicide?
We'll never know. The papers won't tell those stories.
No one keeps those statistics. How many other attorneys have driven someone to suicide we'll never know. The government has let the story out that five men commit suicide for every woman, but they don't keep statistics on how many were driven to suicide because of the prejudice in family law and the intervention order process.
It's not politically correct.
Some will just shake their heads; others will laugh at the murderer and recite a lawyer joke, but two families are now destroyed. Two young daughters now have a murderer for a father.
Family law is childish. Cruel and silly, like a child. Innocently brutal like a child.
