Subject: [fathers4equality] Census - Jedi knights! :-)

Again, let me recommend that the best thing we can do with the census is to claim that we have our children with us on census night... even exaggerate that a little... (and claim you are a Jedi too :-)

The more "single dads" out there, the stronger we can argue that the system needs to stop abusing men and that the current system ignores the large number of care-giving dads and consequently children are being abused by sexist bias... (being a man you are less-than-human, but it you care for a kid, then you suddenly matter)

For example, the C$A will stop abusing men once we have a presumption of 50-50! How??? Because they will have women as payers and men as recipients... Whoooo that will mess with their nasty little feminasty heads.. but the only outcome of that is that they will have to begin to
treat fathers as equal parents.

I have the census on my computer at work - and I have used these numbers to argue to the editor, that women will never be an important market for our newspaper - why? because (typically) women pop out a kid and never work seriously again... even while the kids are at school women are able to not work seriously, or after the kids have left home it is still acceptable for a woman to work a few comfortable hours a week, part-time and bludge on her
ex... mothers never are expected to work seriously.

The census does affect government decisions, it does affect editorial decisions, it does affect the decisions of major corporations and major advertisers. Why do you think there are so many "men are bastards (or jerks)" ads on TV? because the census says that men work, while women shop.
Advertisers want to attract shoppers...

Also,
If you have a sense of humour, and you don't have religious beliefs, you can also put "Jedi" down as your religion.
