Keen grasp of the obvious

A friend in high school had a great way to express the over application of Occam's Razor: "Such a keen grasp of the obvious". And here, along with a little cheap misandry is another example.

Men who criticise their partners and fail to pull their weight in the home are driving new mothers into depression, research reveals.

Women's health experts at the University of Melbourne have discovered a strong link between postnatal depression and lack of support from fathers.

(from Bad dads making mums depressed, by a wisely anonymous writer, 4 Aug 2006)

It takes a "women's health expert" to figure that out? Sheesh.
Try a little common sense. Of course men who don't help with newborns will put more stress on women!
Why does The Age print this stuff? Need a little filler for a corner of a page? -- Try a little cheap misandry -- or just simple-minded verbiage?
With women's health experts like this, who needs disease?

Hint: Bad mums make dads depressed too (but the courts will still award them the house and kids.)
